Stat 20 v 21 which is more math intensive?
And should prospective business majors take 21? Will taking 20 look bad on the application?

I took Stat 20 and I got into Haas. I think Stat 21 just covers more material. What you should really do is pick your class based on the teacher. I still did bad in Stats; teachers just seem to test stuff that isn’t even covered in the book’lecture. Go by teacher, not course number. They’re both acceptable…I think.

I don’t think there is much of a difference between 20 and 21, tbh. Also, I second the idea that you go by teacher. Avoid Purves…apparently, Ibser is the best there is for 20 or 21. I vaguely remember him saying that both 20 and 21 are very similar in terms of content such that it doesn’t really make a difference which course you take. I would assume that both classes are math-intensive, since they are stats classes… Stats 2 is the easy one, but you can’t use that for Haas.
