state school to top 35 institution

I am trying to transfer from a state university to a better (top 35) university. Here are my stats:

High School:
GPA: ~3.4 unweighted
took 7 AP courses and was in all honors since 9th grade.
SAT: 1500/2230, 730 writing, 700 reading, 800 math
SAT II's: 710 Literature, 720 US History, 780 Math 2C
EC's:
Model United Nations:
• Member for 7 years
• 3 best delegation awards (North American Invitational Model United Nations Conference, William and Mary High School Conference, University of Virginia Model United Nations Conference (VAMUN))
• 1 outstanding award (North American Invitational Model United Nations Conference)
• 1 Honorable award (William And Mary High School Model United Nations Conference)
• Liaison to the Middle School chapter.

Future Business Leaders of America:

National Honor Society Member

Class Council Treasurer

Student council executive board head on faculty relations.

2 year internship in mayors office and the technical branch of the
municipal building.

Local Hospital volunteer work for a year.

Campaign work for three elections

working in a pharmacy since 9th grade

College:
GPA: 4.0 (17 credits)
Awards and recognitions:
• Presidential Scholarship
• Honors Program
• Award at NCSC (Georgetown mun conference)
EC:
2 intramural basketball leagues
active member of collegiate mun team
member of high school mun conference at the university and assistant director in committee.

Where I want to go:
1. Georgetown (College)
2. Emory (Arts and Sciences)
3. Johns Hopkins
4. Rice
5. University of Vriginia
6. university of michigan - ann arbor
7. USC
8. UNC -CH
9. Tufts
10. NYU
11. BC

I honestly might be missing things but they are probably just more EC's or something that has (in my opinion) almost nothing to do with getting into a college. Tell me if you guys need more info. Right so I would appreciate any feedback (no matter how brutal) and yes I realize that my high school GPA is horrible.

1.Georgetown (College)-decent chance
2. Emory (Arts and Sciences) decent chance
3. Johns Hopkins reach
4. Rice reach
5. University of Vriginia mid reach
6. university of michigan - ann arbor mid reach(oos I assume?)
7. USC lock
8. UNC -CH lock
9. Tufts good chance
10. NYU very good chance
11. BC decent chance

fyi- Your hs gpa is above average, not horrible

i think you may want to wait another year so that your HS stats don’t matter as much. they’re not bad, but these schools will be looking at those since they’ll only see one semester of completed coursework.

thanks Orson. any thoughts on how to improve the “decent chances” at gtown and emory to near locks?

impossible to judge if you don’t say exactly where you are going this year

I am currently at Rutgers university and I want to go to Georgetown if thats what you mean by where I am going this year

If you want to improve your chances at gtown and emory, I suggest you stay another year and apply for junior standing. By then your “hs career” won’t matter much.

I need more opinions so…bump.

bump one more time
