What will happen if you miss the Statement of Legal Residency for UC Santa Cruz? It's due on 5/13/12 (tomorrow) and I sent it by mail on 5/12/12. Will they still take it if its late? Will it jeopardize my admission status or my financial award status?

Thanks

Why didn’t you fax it? I send my statement by fax and they already indicate me that they have recieved it.

Yeah I thought it was on the 16th as well, but I checked today and it said it is due on 5/13/12 which is why I’m tripping out right now. I was going to send it by fax from my school on Monday, but I don’t know if that’s too late.

Thats odd I already check my portal and the due date still indicates on the 16.

hopefully what yours says is true, b/c mines still says it’s due the 13th, but it’s kind of weird to have a deadline on a Sunday.

In addition to the mailing address and fax number, there is also an email address on the form. Anyone who is concerned about it being received in time can download and complete the form again, then scan it and attach it to an email sent to the email address on the form. Are you transfer students? I ask, because on the UCSC website it says the SLR is due May 1. My daughter SIR’d in April, and shortly after, in the ToDo list on her portal it said her Statement of Legal Residence was “completed.” Now that column has completely disappeared so she has her own concerns… In the absence of anything on her portal telling her a deadline, she just downloaded the form and emailed it to them.

No, I’m an incoming freshman. I would do the scanner option, but my scanner doesn’t work. My plan the whole time was to send it by fax. I remember seeing the due date as 5/16/12, but I checked yesterday and it said 5/13/12. Hopefully it won’t hurt me a lot just because it’s not on time.
