What the title said...

U Wisconsin, Madison

University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point has a College of Natural Resources. It's not as competitive as Madison.

Competitive is fine -I can get into any state school... (except possibly Berkeley)

SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University

University of Virginia.

UCONN
Michigan

UC Davis is top notch...It has a huge number of faculty in Ecology and Natural Resources with many many opportunities for undergraduate research. It also has the top graduate program in ecology/conservation/evolution in the country as well. If you're concerned about personal attention, don't be. It's easy to find labs to work in and they place many of their students in top graduate programs.

cheers,

Other outstanding state schools for Ecology/Evolution
University of Washington
Oregon State
UC Berkeley
UC Santa Cruz
UC Riverside
University of Arizona
UW Madison
University of Florida
UT Austin
Michigan
Indiana University
Cornell University (College of Agriculture and Life Sciences)

There are certainly others, but the above schools have diverse course offerings and faculty persuing research in a variety of disciplines (so you're sure to find something you'd like to do undergraduate research on).

Some schools for zoology include NC State, Clemson, Miami U, Auburn, Ohio State, and Michigan State...but Michigan, Washington, UC Berkeley, Wisconsin, UC Davis, etc. are probably better because the programs are more diverse.
