statistical improvement in admissions

<p>Not sure if this was posted today, but this article from today's NYTimes is about a study showing your odds of admissions are significantly better if you apply early decision.

<p>That depends on the school tho! Stanford REA doesn’t help at all.</p>

<p>Well Early Decision is different from Early Action… and yep, I’ve heard ED helps before too!</p>

<p>Author Steinberg may be cringing at the headline writer’s changing Decision to Action. ;)</p>

<p>^ My thoughts exactly. The headline should be Early Decision Helps Improve Your Chances, not “Early Action…”. But obviously whoever changed the headline was not a parent or student who’s applying to colleges. What a bad substitution, when there’s such a big difference between ED and EA!</p>
