Stats-based vs. EC-based schools

I realize that a large number of colleges in the US will probably look at purely academic stats (SATs, GPA, and so on) before anything else when creating their incoming class. Many of the more selective institutions have a strong enough applicant pool to be able to "weed out" students and can afford to admit students based on ECs. However, how do we know which ones do and don't do that? Please post a list of colleges you think do and don't use such a system of EC-based admission.

(I'll start the list off with the easy ones.)

HYPSM must focus on ECs because in many cases they're all that separate applicant A from applicant B.

HYPSM do not admit based on ECs. Stating that admissions at selective schools are “EC-based” gives them undue influence. HYPSM practice holistic admissions. If you want to see what specific schools consider most important, look up their common data sets. As examples, MIT emphasizes “character/personal qualities” while to UChicago, essays hold the most importance.
