Stats for a top 10 school: What are my chances?

Hi,

I desperately want to attend a top 20 MBA program, however I am worry that my community college credits will hurt my chances.

I am currently attending Haas undergrad at UC Berkeley.

My stats are:
UCB GPA: 3.6
Community College GPA: 3.9
5 Solid years of work experience
Plenty of extra-cirriculars and community service

I have not taken the GMAT and is wondering what range I would need to score in to have a chance at a top 20 program.

Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Very good chance. Shoot for over 690.

If you get close to or above 700 on your GMAT, and your essays are well written, you are pretty much guaranteed a top 10 program.

Prepare carefully for the GMAT, and see what you get. Don't stress about it - it's counter-productive. After you get your score, figure out where you have a realistic chance of admission. Apply widely; include long shots, reasonable alternatives, and sure bets.

Always remember: there's life beyond the top 20.
