I am currently debating on whether to major in statistics, but had no idea of the job opportunities as a stats major after graduation. I have always liked calculations and math classes in high school, I understand that stats majors or any mathematical related field will have to brace themselves for a quite a lot of math/stats courses and I am looking forward to those types of classes. However, I wanted to be sure that if I had majored in statistics I wouldn't be going back home without a job after graduation. Could anyone tell me the job market for stats majors as well as the flexibility of the major when looking for jobs?

Statistics majors appear to end up finance and actuarial jobs often. Are such jobs of interest?

If actuarial jobs are of interest, see http://www.beanactuary.com .
