Stats of NYU Engineering Class of 2019 Admit

Hello,
I am looking at NYU for MAE. I would like to know the stats of some admits. I heard that it became harder to get in after the Poly and NYU merge. So, Stats of NYU Engineering Class of 2019 Admit?
Thank you!

I had a 1760 on the SAT and 3.2 UW at a good school w/ great letter of recs, a lot of robotics and science related clubs.
My friend also got in with a 1840 on his SAT, but don’t know his grades (likely better than mine).
Hope this helps

@arpit19 did you apply to nyu poly or nyu on the common app?

lol @theengineer98 there is no nyu poly on the common app. POly doesn’t exist. NYU has a school of engineering called Tandon. Poly is inexistent lol. The acceptance rate this year for NYU and NYU Tandon which is a school within NYU was 31%. My stats -
SAT - 2200
SAT 2 -2400
AP - 3 APs 5/5
Lot of ECs
Lot of projects
published my own research paper
great essays
90% scholarship
top 10 ranked student in my country
im an intl student

The way it works is the more they like you the better offer they give you in terms of fin aid or whatever.
The acceptance rates are :
Stern>Tisch>Tandon>Gallatin>Steinhardt>CAS>LSP…

Actually, acceptance rates are much more like: Tisch > Stern > CAS > Gallatin > Steinhardt = LSP = Poly

What’s “Poly”? Poly doesn’t exist.

And no, Stern>Tisch>Tandon>Gallatin>Steinhardt>CAS>LSP…

@intlnyu isn’t the score for SAT II an 800?

800/800 in 3 subjects… phy, chem, math 2

My GPA - 98.5%
My school didn’t offer AP classes. I took them in the 10th grade - Calc BC, Phy C, Chem

@intlnyu, not really sure why you’re being so hostile about the truth (starting multiple threads about why people “hate” the school of engineering?). You say that Poly/Tandon/whatever’s most recent acceptance rate was 31%? CAS’s acceptance rate was under 25% in 2010, when I was accepted, and it has only decreased since then. It is simply a fact that CAS has a lower acceptance rate than the school of engineering. It is also a fact that CAS is harder to get into than both Gallatin and Steinhardt. None of these facts take away from the fact that the school of engineering, under any name, is still an excellent school.

@jazzcatastrophe so exactly how hard is it to get into tandon?

31%, same as nyu acceptance rate
