I called today and they told me they had everything (i didn't think to ask when they got it) and that it should take 12 weeks. It should all have been there by Nov 1...but who knows. So I guess I have to call back tomorrow and find out from when. I really hope I get in to Michigan since I just got deferred from Georgetown, I dont really want to go to my other safetyish school (Indiana). I think I would be happy at Mich...I just really need to see that "congratulations!" letter...</p>

<p>OK i sent in my app mid october- michigan recieved it oct. 19th and started reviewing it nov 2nd. I havent heard back its Dec 15th. I got a 1230- 680 m/550 verbal. My michigan gpa is a 3.4 im pretty sure. im very active in school. i live in NJ. wen do u think ill hear and do u think ill get rejected?</p>
<p>Also Sorry This Year Im Taking 2 Aps 2 Honors And Fresh Soph And Jun Year I Took 3 Honors Each. And Got B+'s In Them.</p>
<p>Crusty, if you are an URM, you have a decent chance. If you are not a URM, I am afraid there is a good chance you will not get in, but you do have a chance. It really depends on your courseload, class rank etc... Good luck and keep us posted.</p>

<p>No! I am fully white but my school does not have class rank. I believe my courseload is good especially senior year with AP Physics, AP Spanish, Statistics and English Honors. Last year however i did not take any APs just 3 honors. At least I have a chance. I applied ED2 to GW any way so it should be ok.</p>

<p>I have gone back and looked at the numbers. They are pretty typical of students accepted into Michigan. So far, 25 of you who have been accepted have posted your numbers. Here is a breakdown:</p>
<p>SAT RANGE: 1320-1530
MEAN SAT: 1420</p>
<p>ACT RANGE: 27-35
MEAN ACT: 31</p>
<p>GPA RANGE (unweighed): 3.5-4.0
MEAN GPA (unweighed): 3.9</p>
<p>MID 50% SAT: 1380-1470
MID 50% ACT: 29-33
MID 50% GPA: 3.8-4.0</p>
<p>AVERAGE CLASS RANK: Top 5%</p>
<p>Unfortunately, Michigan's yield rate is not as good as some top 10-15 universities. As a result, the mean scores and ranges of students who enroll are not quite as high.</p>
<p>what if you take 9 AP classes and almost all honors, and your wgpa is high, your school is really competitive + your sat is in the accepted range, but your gpa is low.</p>
<p>It really depends Jewelz. There is no one situation that guarantees admission or rejection. What do you mean by low unweighed GPA, 3.3 or 3.6? What is your class rank? Do many students from you school get into Michigan? How do you compare to those that applied successfully in the past? What do you mean SAT in the accept range, 1250 or 1400? Are you in-state or out -of-state? When did you apply?</p>

<p>sigh< bad gpa as in 3.2, but 3.8 wgpa. 1370 sats. i have 770 + 780 sat iis and i applied about 2 weeks ago because i didn't think i had a shot at getting into michigan. i'm out-of-state. i'm not sure what rank i am because we don't rank, but i'd say maybe top 35%? i don't know how many other people are actually applying from my school, but there are a few who have a 3.5 and 1400, but they didn't take as many challenging courses as me. i don't know how course selection factors into the admissions process.</p>

<p>Jewelz, your chances are slim. Whether or not you applied early does not make a difference. Your SAT is fine, but your GPA is a little too low. You still stand a chance, but like I said, Michigan is a reach.</p>
<p>alexandre...when do you think i am going to hear? im going crazy...if you dont remember, i got a confirmation letter on oct 15, but they received another alumni rec. on the 28th...i cannot wait any longer!!! and is it true they don't send any letters out during the holiday break?</p>
