I'm so excited I got in, but this is probably a moot point. I don't expect much financial aid (out of state), and apparently missed the deadline for a major scholarship. Oh, well--CWRU offered me $24000.

What kind of string can Alexandre pull?

College_hopeful

How long did you wait after your acceptance packet to get all of this info (honors, scholarship, residential)?

ChrisCuber

I don't think you get your scholarship info with the acceptance letter.

does anyone know how long one should wait for scholarship info?

TBBY, your GPA is strong and your legacy status will help. Your SAT is fine. You did apply a little late, but I think you have a good chance fo getting in. Keep us posted.

thanks for the input alexandre, my only concern is that my gpa is weighted, and my class rank is not too good , barley top 25%.

DANZONE, I cannot pull any strings. But the members of this forum can give you advice and opinions. Those are quite useful.

TBBY, as long as your "Michigan" GPA is over 3.6, you are in good shape. Your class rank will not hurt you if your school is a good school. And given your stats, the fact that you are barely in the top quartile means that you go to a pretty good school. Hang in there and keep us posted.

so what about someone with a 3.5 mich gpa and 1300. (a friend). chances chances?

i think ur okay....decent cahnce id say judging by previosu posts

hey anyone know the criteria they look for for scholarships, i was thinkinga bout applyign here next year but only if i get like at least 25k or full because im outta state and theyre cost is like 30k....also how many people generally get scholarships?

PinkPanther, it depends when your friend applied. If she/he applied recently, the chances aren't good. But if she he applied in November, the chances are decent.
