I'm trying to decide which on I should take. I'm not a life/health sciences major, but neither class has prereqs and either one of them satisfies a GE and is needed for the stats major/minor. Is there any reason why I should choose one over the other?

stats 13 is for life science majors thus is will be easier than stats 10...because the life science majors got the easy series of anything math-related (e.g. math 3 series). i think the hardest introductory stats course is econ 41...for econ majors, material not that bad, but if you got a bad prof like brown, ur screwed. we econs got it going on

stats 13 is hard only because there is little/no curve because of the crazy premeds. I regret taking it. The material wasn't hard, but for a lot of students Stats is a refresher because they took Stats AP in high school (with better teachers than those at UCLA). If you haven't taken STATS AP you'll be at a severe disadvantage, at least in my opinion.

^i guess you should take stats 10 then.

ive taken ap stats and the extremely easy stats35b. I'm leaning toward stats13 cuz its a lab and its 4 days a week

if you did well in stats AP you should have no problem in either one. if you take christou for 13, he has open note tests. :) i think other stats 10/13 profs might too, but not sure.

I took stats 13 and heard that stats 10 is easier, but maybe not? but if you do end up taking stats 13 do NOT take dinov.
