still nothing, going to give them a call...

i am going to call too.

omg... lol she told me to wait for the mail.....

Not in today's mail for me, either (North Carolina).

I just got an email from the admissions office inviting me to attend GT on certain days. I assume this means I got in! :D

I got the same e-mail. I think it is just a marketing e-mail...it talks about meeting with admissions reps, etc. and I suspect went to anyone for whom GT had an e-mail or inquiry, which would include applicants. I certainly do not take the blurb as an indication of admission.

I got that email too, but I will wait till I get the mail before I can conclude if I am accepted or not. The admission officer told me it should arrive on Friday at the latest.

The official GT admissions blogs indicate, from Friday, December 19, 2008:

"Second Round: Admissions Decisions

As of yesterday, the second round of acceptance letters have gone out. If you applied by October 31st, you should have received either an email or a letter in the mail. We have completed all the decisions for the fall, and all acceptance letters have been mailed out. (We won't be sending out any more letters until early spring semester, so you can stop waiting by the mailbox.)

There are still a sizable number of students who remain, who will be accepted in the next round. If you were not accepted in this round, that just means that you will be reviewed again and fully reconsidered in the spring. We have sent a deferral email to all students who have been deferred. So far, we have not denied anyone."

I suppose, since I did not receive a deferral e-mail, it is OK to cross my fingers...
(OOS NC applicant).

nice.... are there chances of email gotten lost? I am scared still...haha. I hope the mail will come tomorrow.

We called on Monday, the lady was nice enough to look up my file and tell us I was supposed to get an acceptance letter in the mail. I also got that meeting email today.

it's funny how i got the letter asking me to "come celebrate my acceptance at GT" before I even get my acceptance package.

Is that email really for accepted applicants only? I called the lady and she wouldn't tell me anything.

Here is what my e-mail said...unfortunately, does not say anything about celebrating an acceptance.

So...no acceptance in today's mail. I did get a brochure inviting me to "Connect With Tech" to stay overnight, etc. The GT web site says it is a program of the Office of Special Recruitment Programs. Here is the link: Georgia Institute of Technology :: Undergraduate Admission :: Connect With Tech. But the brochure says nothing about being accepted, and I definitely do not have an acceptance letter as of today's mail. Oh well.

Same here...disappointed!! No mails will come tomorrow, so I have to wait till Friday.

If you have not received an email saying you were deferred you have been accepted.

I got in woot!! mail arrived today

Nothing yet...

Accepted to College of Engineering (undeclared.) Package in today's mail.

Can we change department when we are attending?? I got accepted into college of science, but I am thinking about going into engineering.
