Actually, it wasn't that big of a surprise. His thumb was obviously hurting him, although it was a nice try to deny it. We had a chance to come back in the second quarter, but that was blown with the final interception (seemed like it might've been overturned had there been a better angle closer to the play). Anybody else notice that Bettis and Ward both stepped out of bounds at the end of the third, but the clock kept running? That made no sense. Not just once, but twice.
Anyway, to any Pats fans, congrats. I'll be rooting for them in the "big" one, although I think this game decided the Super Bowl winning (sorry Eagles).
Now, for the next year. Pats will definately have a harder time, as will the Colts when they face the Steelers. Even if Bettis leaves, Roethilsburger will have a year under his belt and won't have to deal with being perfect and trying to maintain that feat, so he'll be more comfortable as well as experienced. If there aren't any main injuries, the playoffs should be just as good next year, with the Pats getting their first playoff losss (hopefully) under Billicheck. After this game, he definately ranks at the top of the list of greatest head coaches. No doubt about that. 8-1 in the post season. Super Bowl will be great, but you can't bet against the Pats this year, it's just insane. Now, as a Steelers fan, let me cry....
NNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!! WWWWHHHHHHYYYYY?!?!?!?! 15-1!!!! NNNNOOOOOO

whoo!!!! GO PATS!! hahaha sorry to be mean...

this season sucked.

blumuffin, don't worry. You seem to be forgetting that if the Steelers won, I'd be extremely obnoxious. Well...I never told you, but you get the point. Just wait till next year, just wait buddy when our QB isn't injured.

Oh yeah, was anybody keeping track of who had good field position (ya know, cuz of it being Heinz)? Did Vinitierri make that 48 yarder or Reed that 43 yarder going into the bad end? If so, that's insane. Heinz is the worst for kickers.

I might walk alone (I cannot stop listening to this song) but I am so effing happy that Pittspuke lost today. My drunk ass weekend is complete! Go Browns!

I'm mourning the pittsburgh loss... mostly b/c that means my chem teacher is going to anger extremely easily tomorrow, and also means we lost our shot at a party in class (we would've had one had they won the super bowl). anyone else think tom brady w/ long hair=hideous?

Haha! Well thats what you get Pittsburgh for having a rookie quarterback! You all know there has never been a rookie quarterback that played in the superbowl! Aww poor baby, sore thumb... No, just bad decision making. That was a retarded pass you threw to your receiver and it got picked off. Give it up for the Eagles, watch out Brady, I've got your number...

Tom Brady is an alum from that school up north, and Belichoke didn't do jack squat for my Browns, but I am still happy that the Pittspuke Distillers lost today.

"I might walk alone (I cannot stop listening to this song) but I am so effing happy that Pittspuke lost today. My drunk ass weekend is complete! Go Browns!"

It's so much easier to be happy when you're team doesn't have the chance to lose...Why is that? Oh yeah, THEY AREN'T IN THE PLAYOFFS.

Go ahead, thebeers. Go against Brady and see what happens. You guys couldn't even shut down the Falcons. Wait till you face a real team like the Patriots or the Steelers. Oh wait, you did, and what happened? You got crushed back when you had T.O.. Without him, you're screwed beyond belief.
