Stereotyping by College Major

<p>Interested in math, science, AND money!</p>

<p>Business</p>

<p>Someone that wanted major in sinething easy enough that wouldnt tie them down to any specific careers .</p>

<p>Economics!</p>

<p>Had no passions to major in, and wants to be big time on Wall Street.</p>

<p>Peace / Conflict Resolution Studies.</p>

<p>Wants to work at UN.</p>

<p>Chemistry</p>

<p>Watched too much Dexter’s Laboratory as a kid</p>

<p>Petroleum Engineering</p>

<p>Googled what engineering major makes the most monies.</p>

<p>Civil Engineering.</p>

<p>Wants to build stuffs for civilians</p>

<p>Computer Science</p>

<p>Someone who thinks he’d do awesome at CS because he’s good at video games and can download stuff illegally.</p>

<p>Mathematics.</p>

<p>Probably intelligent. Can prove how smart they are if they complete the degree.</p>

<p>Philosophy major, econ minor.</p>

<p>Took a useful degree and a non-useful degree, but majored in the wrong one</p>

<p>Math major, italian minor.</p>

<p>Wants to write the first commercially successful mathematical opera in Italian. Doesn’t realize that Italian opera has been passe outside of the stodgy and/or stuffed shirt set for the last century or so. </p>

<p>Criticism (Yes, it actually does exist at some colleges…including my LAC).</p>

<p>Thought all he/she would do is bash people, movies, books, etc… wishes to switch majors now.</p>

<p>Library Science</p>

<p>Loves books, but hates real work. Plans on living pay-check-to-pay-check as long as they get to be around books.</p>

<p>Electrical Engineering</p>

<p>Electrical Engineering: Hoping to design the next revolutionary chip…microprocessor, DSP, etc. May also enjoy electrocuting classmates in other majors and Profs/admins for kicks. :D</p>

<p>Management</p>

<p>Doesn’t have a passion for any particular academic majors. Probably made the smart decision and chose a practical major. </p>

<p>Nutrition</p>

<p>Clearly didn’t do well in high school; parents forced them into college.</p>

<p>Geography</p>

<p>Clearly didn’t do well in high school; parents had to practically drag his behind into college.</p>

<p>Dance</p>

<p>Went to Carnegie Melon to become a flight attendant to clean restrooms.</p>

<p>Native American Studies</p>

<p>Sophistry is evidently a 30 rock fan. As for the major choice, probably has significant native american ancestry.</p>
