Stern class registration advice

I'm an incoming Stern freshman and I need some advice on what classes to take for fall semester:

So far I plan to register for the following classes:
CLASS (PROFESSORS)
Commerce and CultUre (Menna, Wosnitzer, Blount-Lyon)
Calc I (Hu)
Microeconomics (Bowmaker)

If I don't get a 4 or 5 on my BC Calc exam I will need to take Micro in the spring and then two other classes in the fall. Even if I do get a 5 I still need one more class. I know I will have to take a Texts&Ideas/Cultures & Context class but I have no idea what are the best classes to take. I want to maintain a high GPA freshman year (since I know things get pretty hard sophomore year) so what courses do you recommend. Also which professors are best?

Other questions
-I also heard that spring micro is much harder than fall micro...is this true?
-Can I take Stats first semester while taking calc i?

Yeah, you probably do want to take either a Texts & Ideas or Cultures & Contexts class in the fall, then the other in spring, reason being that Commerce and Culture and Business and its Publics (which must be taken in the spring) both also center around reading and writing, so you don’t want to overload yourself with three of those kind of classes in one semester, unless you think you can handle it. I haven’t heard anything about the Commerce professors, so I don’t think that any one of them is particularly bad. Your Calc I professor shouldn’t really matter seeing as how you’re taking AP Calc BC, Calc I will probably be a breeze for you, and you can probably skip almost every lecture and recitation with no penalty except to turn in homework, unless your professor takes attendance. As for micro, I think Bowmaker’s the only one who teaches it in the fall and does so in the auditorium, so you really have no choice, though people seem to like him a lot. I’ve heard that too about spring and fall micro, but it doesn’t really matter because the class is curved, meaning that while it may be much easier to break 90% in the fall, the cutoff for an A in the fall might be 95%. Basically, grades are scaled accordingly relative on how you do compared to your classmates, so it makes little difference grade-wise. You just get penalized a lot more for silly mistakes on exams in the fall I guess. And yeah, you can take stats in the fall if you have the required score on AP Calc.

If anyone is trying to figure out what Stern/Liberal Core classes they should take, I am starting to put a list together:
