I know that Stern is one of the top five business undergraduate school in US, can anybody update with more details..

What are the pros and cons of NYU comparing with Wharton and other business school? especially in turn of

1.the course content, design for practical work?
2.difficulty of the course,
3.campus life,
4.friendship among the fellow student,
5.quality of teaching,
6. job prospect?

I heard that many bad comments on NYU financial packet, is that true? How to survive if i live on my own???

If you live on your own, i hate to say it but you will have a lot of debt and loans to pay off. Most people on this forum are having between 20,000$ and 30,000$ in loans. You can times that by four and.. you have a lot of debt.

Stern offers a lot of unique opportunities. First of all, you're in the middle of New York City. This gives you an opportunity to get involved in the business world and get an internship before you graduate from college because NYC is home to some of the finest, most well-known financial institutions in the world. Second, Stern takes globalization seriously, and therefore strives to make students become internationally competitive. During junior year, all Stern students are required to take courses on international business, and over spring break, they go on a trip to another country to learn about a foreign business and culture. This year, students went to Germany, Chile, and South Korea. Third, Stern offers a strong, challenging, highly-competitive education.

I know that prospective students sometimes worry about the sense of community at NYU. However, the administration at Stern is currently striving to create community within its college. For example, at the beginning of the first year, freshmen are assigned to cohorts- groups of 50 people that participate in activities together. I've heard that students really like the cohorts because it helps them make friends, and feel less lonely.

Finally, in terms of job prospects, Stern has great job prospects. It has a well-regarded name, and a strong alumni network. For example, Alan Greenspan is a Stern graduate.

demgirl, what about the bill? is stern worth $180,000 loans? I am an intel and I did not receive a dime in scholarship... Stern is undoubtedly one of the best business undergrad schools in the world, but shouldn't I save up my money and go to a lesser-known school?

Maxy- I think that that is a question that you have to answer. It entirely depends on your personal definition of "worth" and what is important to you.
