I want to work as IB, which one is better school in the eyes of employers such as Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, etc.?

Stern for finance, def.

Goldman Sachs is the largest single employer of brown seniors.

Goldman Sachs is the single largest employer of Stern Seniors.
There is no finance in brown and it's full of stupid liberal hippies... Seriously, go to stern its more conservative, professional and business-esq... Dont ****ing doubt me on this one i've been to both schools and go to one of them

brown teaches core financial and business analytical skills, while empowering you to leverage your creativity in entrepreneurship. along the way you can receive start up funds and faculty advising for your own business, get support from brown to intern in asia for a multinational company, and network with high powered visiting fellows

i'm sure there are better people at stern than reflected by the above post, but if you have any other questions about brown let me know

Hear's my opinion: if you love NYC, and are dead set certain that you want to be an IB, and don't mind being in a dedicated business program (and can afford NYU!), Stern seems like a great choice. But if NYC is not as critical to you, and you are less certain about IB/less concerned about being on an all-business track (not to say that Sternies don't take other classes, but obviously that is the focus), and want a less go-go-go college experience, Brown seems great for you. You can get into business from pretty much any school with pretty much any undergrad degree (my own mother was an undergrad Sociology major, got a Master's in Communications, changed her mind about her career and decided she wanted an MBA, and ended up choosing between Wharton and UChicago MBA programs).

Brown does have a liberal rep, but I personally didn't find it that hippie, and while Stern may be more conservative, I don't think that NYU as a whole and CERTAINLY not NYC as a whole are any less liberal than Brown, so I don't really think you should worry too much about that, no matter what your politics are.

my friend chose stern over brown, and he seems to be satisfied here.

but I think Brown will make you a better person thou :p

in terms of % and numbers, Stern produces way too more douches than Brown does... :D

nah, I don't think the school produces the douches. It's more like more douches go to Stern than Brown. That's just easier to pick who your real frieneds are tho

merumerume: I have not found that true. If I had, I don't think I would be at Stern.

venus.ajar: you don't even go to Stern yet.

Go where you want: you won't have trouble finding a job from either. FYI though, Brown is a hell of a lot more impressive than Stern.
