Steve Ballmer to teach at USC (and Stanford) in the Spring.

He’ll teach at USC’s Marshall School of Business in the spring semester, Amy Blumenthal, a spokeswoman said in an e-mail. She declined to say what course he’s planning to teach.

I’m not surprised and was predicting that he’d teach at USC, given his son is a Trojan, he retired from MSFT and he just bought the Clippers. Ballmer may also have decided to leave Seattle for a warmer climate. I’m more surprised about Stanford, though I understand one of his other kids is a student there. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Ballmer made a transformative gift to USC, given his relationship with the university, one that appears to be strong and growing stronger. Ballmer is part of our Trojan family, and we truly appreciate, admire, and respect his remarkable achievements. I’m personally humbled, grateful and in awe of his support for USC.

He is definitely going to donate big to USC. A) His son went there B) he was a graduation speaker C) he will teach a class there and D) he now owns a LA sports team. All of those reasons point to a large donation coming.

My guess is a Hall in the USC Village or naming the Computer Science program.

Also, I am still waiting for Gehry to name the school of architecture.
