OK so I am currently a junior and I have to take the SAT in may. right now I am deciding between taking either math2, chem or US history.(only have to take 2) however, since I'm studying for the sat on may 1st I will really only have one month after may 1st to study for subject tests.. SOOOOO my question is would it be better for me to take the chem sat2 in June or US history? I am in honors chemistry and getting a decent grade but my teacher is kind of bad and we haven't learned all the material on the SAT 2 yet. I am in regular us history but my teacher is REALLY good and we have already finished up to WW2 and will spend the remaining of the year on WW2-present. BTW do certain colleges like BU care about which SAT 2's you take if your just applying to a normal program? (none of the accelerated stuff)

my main question is do you think i can be able to achieve a good score on the SAT2s for either US HISTORY or CHEMISTRY in just one month? and which one would be easier?

Maybe with Chemistry, but not for US history since you’re taking regular history. The SAT for US history is more analytical and specific. It would have been good if you had taken AP US history.

Hmm… idk i was planning on taking chemistry also but when i was looking over some questions from the test i found myself confused sometimes and it felt like i never learned it. But then again I would imagine studying for the US history would be pretty easy since its basically all memorization? Also what about literature? Do you think a CR score ~600 would translate into a OK literature score with a month of studying?

It probably would be better to take the US History one. Most of the time the SAT IIs are slightly curved and the Chem one is taken by all reallllyyy advanced students so it is curved the least. It’s basically the hardest one to get a good score on because of that.
