Im still a sohphomore at a rigorous prep academy (all honors). I was wondering which UC schools i am qualified for.

Also, it would be great if i could get some advice on what to do.

GPA: 3.8x (hoping to raise it by senior year)
SATI 1770 (hoping to raise it to at least 2000, do you think it is possible?)
PSAT 188 (with some prep)
SATII Chinese 720
At least 8 APs after jr+sr year

ECs
Key Club- 50 hours (hopefully 200 by senior year)
Piano lessons since 5
Play piano for church
SYMF 4th place solo competition
SYMF 2nd place duet competition
Certificate of merit- Panel finalist 10th grade
Violin in symphonic orchestra 2 years
NHS member (2 years by senior year)
Taekwondo Black Belt 3 years (will be 2nd degree, 5 years by senior year)
JV tennis team 1 year

Also, another issue ive been trying to tackle is whether or not to continue piano lessons. Next year will be my junior year, which is really important. Piano is time consuming, but if i carry through, i can win some more awards, but i think my grades might suffer. If i stop piano, i think i will have more time to concentrate on my grades. What do you guys think?

of course it's best to do piano and have good grades, but it's really up to you.

Your extracurriculars look decent so far, and if you keep up the GPA or get it higher, and raise the SAT's to 2000/2100+, all UC's should be a possibility.

I, personally, would keep up piano because if you win a really prestigious competition, it could be a hook, but if you're GPA dips below a certain range I don't know if it'd be worth it - GPA's pretty important especially since your SAT's aren't stellar (currently)

Make the choice-do you think you can keep up piano?

I'd say good chances GPA-wise. But try to improve the SAT's to be safe. 1770 to a 2000+ is definitely possible. Train hard though, dont' just talk the talk. Work, and it's very possible to get a 2200+ even.
