Still chance for a B in Math 1B or should I p/np it?

I'm in Reshetikhin, and I scored a 66 on the 1st midterm (pretty much avg I think) but on this 2nd one I scored a 54 (about 22 below the avg of my discussion section, not sure about the actual class). There's still a 35% final and some quizzes left (current quiz avg = 65 % w/o any curve in disc. sec. quizzes).

Current grade is 62% uncurved and all I want is a B-, I'd probably be content with a C+ too, but anything lower and i'll feel an immense amount of pressure in the upcoming semesters. Does anyone have experience with this classes grade distributions/potential curve?

In 1B, I think a 62 uncurved is usually a C anyways, so you can definitely get it to a B- or a B. Also, If you’re taking it as a pre-req for other classes, or for some professional school after graduation, you’d have to retake it for a grade if you p/np it.

While your second midterm score is lower, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. You seem to already be at the C+/B- range and if you do well on the final, you can definitely get a B.
