I've read numerous posts on this subject, but still can't figure out how to equate a 95.8 UW average to a 4.0 scale. A few of the colleges are asking on the application for your GPA on the 4.0 scale and I'm not sure what it is. According to Collegeboard it's a 4.0 but that doesn't sound right to me.

Depends on the scale, but if you use a 95, 85, 75, 65, 55 for A, B, C, D, F grades, then a 95 is a 4.0 and you would be a hair above that. so Collegeboard is on target.

I thought GPA was calculated by calculating the GPA of individual classes and averaging those values, rather than using the average of all classes as a whole and pulling the GPA from there.
