Still did not receive a decision letter?

Hi,

I applied to a college for early decision and I have received an email from the college’s counselor saying that my application have been put in the early decision pile and that I should be receiving a decision letter in mid January. It is passed mid January and I still have yet to receive any letter. Should I call my college or should I wait? I am getting worried.

Thank You.

I say wait. It seems that when (certain) colleges say “mid-January”, that could even mean that last day of January. Maybe when it reaches February you could call?

Type “(name of college) Admissions Twitter”…to find their twitter account…ive often found that it’s the best source of release dates…

Or find the college’s board on CC and see if others have heard about ED yet.

I checked my colleges twitter and they said that the decision letters have been sent. Some people have already posted their acceptance letter on twitter. If I haven’t received one yet, does that mean I have been rejected?

I would recommend calling the admissions office and asking them. Good luck.

A)

b) letter not rec’d and it’s Jan 21st

c) you ask

I get that you’re nervous. Let’s analyze:

In what circumstances would A + B = C?

The college is cruel and/or incompetent.

How about A + B ≠ C?

99.999% of all other possible explanations.

Relax.

Thanks for my laugh of the day T26. I agree, skim97. It’s only the 21st. Have you ever heard the saying, “No news is good news”? Unless or until you get a rejection notice, I would assume you still have a chance. Good luck.
