S still has not heard - looks for the mail everyday. Are there others who still haven’t heard anything?

My S also still has not heard--the mail is a daily event! Does anyone know if acceptances are still going out? Or does this late date bode nonacceptance??

Everyone else from our area has heard both acceptances and rejections. I'm guessing that S is on the bubble or letter got lost. We have had a problem with mail a few times this year. In the meantime we look for the mail everyday!

S still has not heard from Tisch. paver83 has your S heard? Any one else still waiting?

No one asked me :) but if I were you, I would simply call the NYU undergraduate admissions office and ask.

Agree with NotMamaRose. I think letters are out by now and your child should have gotten it and so it is time to let them know that he did not receive it and ask that it not only be resent but that he gets an email in the meantime with the decision, so he can plan accordingly.

My son did call NYU/Tisch this morning and found out he is on the wait list. The admissions person apologized profusely for him not receiving his letter yet--said she would have it reissued. Meanwhile, he now has to wait until mid-May for a final decision. Evidently, the whole pool of wait-listed students (about 30) is re-reviewed and each entire application is reviewed to fill any available spots. So, the wait goes on. Does anyone know if wait-listed students who ultimately are accepted get a decent financial aid package????? Anyone else out there who did get a wait-list letter? Please share any info you may have as I'm sick of trying to read tea-leaves...... :)

My daughter called to tell me she received Tisch's decision today on her transfer application from within NYU.

Hopefully anyone applying for freshman year who hasn't received a letter has
called the admissions office. You could be missing out on admissions receptions.
D (not in MT) had not received the "official" GSP letter as of last week. When I called the GSP office, I found out that the last GSP reception was this past Sunday and I was able to sign my daughter up through Admissions. We had a great day in NY and were able to tour many of the dorms and meet/speak with a good number of NYU students.

I had called last week and at that time they would not tell me if all the letters had gone out. I had started by saying I understood that they would not give me admissions info on the phone, but I was just trying to determine if the letter may have gotten lost in the mail. They also said that they could not give me a specific date to call back if we continued without a letter.

After looking at this week's posting from others I recalled and this time they said s should have received his letter by now. Last night they e-mailed him a letter saying he was on the wait-list.
