Still Nothing on WA

Is this the same admissions rep that said all decisions would be sent out by April 15? Or is this the one that said no more decisions would be posted on WA? Or, perhaps, the one who said…

Exactly!! We only have fifteen days to decide…When exactly can we heard from Michigan? Michigan is always my first choice since 2of my best are there. I don’t mind to wait another day or two but I have to make decission before may 1st. Btw, i’m a international student who is studying in US. I transfered to here 2 years ago and one of important reason for me to came to States is to get into school like Michigan. Now, I feel so depressed by the fact that Michigan seems not care about individuals. Maybe because they have already admitted enough people or… Anyway, they should let us know by now I still have faith in Umich but i don’t think it’ll last too long…

Well, either way, we’ll find out by snail mail eventually, though, right?

Wouldn’t want to inconvenience the Admissions staff. Maybe they could just post a list outside the office.

Clyde is much too witty to go to a lame place like Michigan.

Just talked to an Admissions Rep. Here is a rough transcript of the conversation:

Me: Hi, I was just wondering if a decision has been made yet on my application?

ARep: Are you a freshman applicant?

Me: Yes

ARep: Decisions will be mailed out this Friday.

Me: And how long would it take to for my decision to reach New York?

ARep: 3-5 days.

Me: And you’re 100% positive that all decisions will be mailed out on Friday?

Arep: Yes.

So that’s it. Don’t know how reliable the information is, but at least according to this rep we will be getting our decisions, at the latest, in the mail next week.

Go Blue?

AHHHHHHHHH! That is too long to wait! Entirely too long! I am going crazy.

If you’re accecpted then it should be on WA on Friday then right?

Anyway, cumulonimbus, I don’t know if you truely didn’t think of this before, but if not, look at all possible situations right now and decide how you will act in each. For instance, say you applied to 1 school, with preferred admission to another, and you applied to different colleges and have heard from them all already.

Decide:
If you get into your preferred admit at UM where will you go.
If you get into your applied school but not preferred admit at UM where will you go.
If you don’t get in at all where will you go.

Then you should be fine.

How about death cage matches for the last remaining spots? Or would there be too much paperwork involved?

You’d risk your life to go to Michigan?

we might get our mail next week!!! that means we will only have like 5 days to decide…plus its gonna take them forever to do fin aid

Um, it was a joke… How about rock paper scissors?

Clyde10 - It’s always the paperwork, isn’t it? But seriously, this is our futures we’re talking about, and Michigan is my dream school. Cage matches don’t sound so bad, not after all this waiting. And rock-paper-scissors sounds awesome. You know, I sometimes wonder if they’re just sitting in a board room with a dartboard at this point…

UM is probably best benefitted by having an auction for the last spots, but I think that would definately cause some problems…

They already have an “auction”. You think if your family had a building named after it you’d still be waiting for a decision?

my application was in on october 20th or something and still nothing. well too late, mich…i’m going to the ivy league now so suck it.

I talked to a rep this morning as well, and he said that decisions will be recieved (not mailed) by the end of the week…or at the very latest early next week.

And like others have said, I’m assuming that acceptances will be posted on WA.

Please, Posted it on WA! It’ll take forever to get snail mail…

waitlisted on WA tonight

waitlisted
