where are u from?

i'm from pennsylvania

NJ - priority mail from cali usually takes 3 days to get to me so if it was mailed on saturday then i will prob get it wednesday, and if it was mailed friday then ill get it tom...

what would you even ask if you called them???

AHHH i don't want to get a mail today... (too bad i live in socal..)
i hope its not the rejections that everyone is getting so far... if so... i might have to go to uci and transfer to cornell... which is no fun...

so are we still sure that 60% of the accpetances are on the way?

"Can i get an update on my status? it's April 2nd.. after april 1st.. according to your website, you should be able to tell me the decision"

sounds good to me, go for it - i'll be right behind you if they tell you...

In regards to "what would you even ask if you called them???"

Lat year, against my daughter's wishes, and to my daughter's horror, I called and said, "My daughter needs to make a decision between Berkeley and Santa Barbara ASAP, do you know when she will be notified if she will be accepted to USC; as naturally she would prefer to attend USC?" They asked for her id number, took awhile and said a letter would be sent. I regreted that phone call, after it was done. Thank goodness, it was an acceptance letter she received a week later. And, thank goodness the USC person was patient and found my inquiry humorous.

thank you!

was this early April?

norcal- rejected.

did you call them after April 1st last year??

Freaking *@#$&&$s took down their phone lines...

I got a voicemail without any rings saying

"Due to the high volume of callers, we are unable to take your call. Please try again later. Thank you!"

busy signal*

damn really?? thats not right lol

yup.. I just called again, after u press 1, then 4 to "speak with a representative", it goes straight to that voicemail

stressed0ut - do you really believe what someone b4 said about "60% of acceptances have yet to go out" as of last week??

the source is one of annakimwta's friends, i trust her, and she says her source is very credible or else she wouldn't have posted it. i know you're not asking me but i really want to believe...

^

probably.. i trust annakim too.

I just called again. after the 12th time, I was put on hold with 21 calls before me. After 15 mins of waiting, I tried to pressure the lady into telling me a decision by saying

"Ma'am, I really need to make a decision between NYU and USC ASAP. I've already been waiting since early march. USC is the ONLY school I haven't heard back yet. I live 3000 miles away and if I do get in, I'd love to know at least a week before hand to book a flight to visit."

She was cold,

"Sorry, we don't give decisions over the phone. Last wave was finalized and sent on last Friday. If you don't get anything by the end of this week, call us"

CLICK

I'm really fed up :(

thats cool - i dont mind who answers me i just didnt kno where that idea came from lol - but if its true it makes me think then there is some hope bc that wouldve meant that about 5000 acceptance letters were mailed last week...

sorry stressed0ut :( Alot of people are calling now prob because they either were not happy with the decision or (in your boat) havent gotten a letter yet.
