I am in the same boat as you NAgony... it's very stressful.

no mail today

Sorry for leaving you guys hanging. I had a test that i had to study for. :)
Also i was too busy reading everything in the package over and over again. So excited!

Wow...looks like we have some stalkers here..-_-.

Now to answer your questions.....
I was able to log on to exploreusc on tuesday (3/21) morning (7:00am??) and when i came home from school(6:00pm?) the package was waiting for me at the mailbox. It was postmarked 3/20, but the date on the letter inside was 3/17.

hi you guys,
Yesterday I was able to log into explore and today I got an admission letter... like shadow said it was also dated 3/17.

I believe the most of the acceptance letters have been already sent out but I also believe one more wave of acceptance/rejection letters is soon to be unleashed.......................I too cannot loginto exploreUSC. I would definetly go to USC if i got in!!!

For more info, I got into chemical eng and I am from norcal. So, I guess it is actually coming...good luck you guys... I hope all of us here get in!!!
Just wondering...How is USC's chemical eng program?

have they sent out any rejections - because i havent heard of any? also- it seems like many acceptances are still to come

I dont think any rejections got mailed out yet. I believe the rejections comes out at the last wave.

Did anyone not receive a scholarship rejection letter?

I'm starting to think that this huge wave of letters on the 20th never happened.

I called today, and they said (after my 14 minutes of waiting) there's definitely more acceptance letters being sent out--"all the way into the first week of april."

I still can't log onto explore usc though... I think I really need to stop trying, it just makes me nervous each time I try. And it never works.

For the norcal people--you guys might have been accepted and just not gotten your letters yet. One of my friends had a letter dated March 10 and didn't get it until the Friday after (March 17).

In previous years they send out all of the rejections (and spring admits) together, in the last wave, so I don't THINK anyone's been rejected...

babybokchoy - i called on Monday and the lady said my application was still being reviewed... i'm guessing than annenberg is still reviewing apps. i'm pretty sure if i had been accepted/rejected she would have said the decision was in the mail. if anyone from annenberg can prove me wrong, i'd like to hear it.

Woot woot!

The package came today.
"Welcome to the Trojan Family."

How nice is that? Haha.

I'm so excited, I honestly had no idea if I would get in or not.
School of Theatre, woot!

Don't know if I'm going yet, but it's definitely in my top three.

Congrats to everyone else who's been accepted, too!
And everyone else, don't worry, they're still sending out packages!

Good luck.

pinkdillo, i applied Annenberg and when i last checked my file was complete.

Another thing my friend has a friend in admissions and she said that the process may be delayed because of the wrong SAT scores that were given. Just a something to think about.

pinkdillo, I got into Annenberg today for print journalism.

dont mean to be doom and gloom, but they seem to have done a lot of acceptances. the acceptance rate is like in the late 20s percent i think... so that means 70+ percent of appl.icants are rejected. and if we are hearing so much of the 30% or so who are accepted right now, then how many acceptees are truly left? the next wave will have rejections and acceptances, but since rejections are 70+% how many are going to be acceptances? 10%? 15%? because they probably have accepted at least 10-15% already... sorry for this analysis. i am among those who has not yet heard, btw.

I don't think you can really get a good estimate of the percentage of admitted students just from this website. Even if 100 kids said they were accepted on this website, and I don't think its that many, that is still a very little amount compared to the students who will be accepted.

I think for the most part the people coming on this forum REALLY want to go to USC, and are absolutely sure it's their first choice. The people posting will either get in or not. However, I don't think an accurate estimate could be made just from the people on this website. We honestly don't know how many accpetances have been sent out. In the MDY Report letter, they said 10-15% have been notified, and more have definitely been notified since then. But since all of the admissions officers are saying that letters will be sent close to or on April 1st, I think the bulk of acceptances will be sent out then. It's like that for most other schools too.

I don't think people should be discouraged, there's still plenty of time to hear from the school.

i suspect a higher percentage of acceptances show here on cc because a lot of the posters are insanely competitive. sometimes i wonder if any of you people ever sleep! so it may seem like the majority of acceptances are out, but we are seeing a very skewed view here. so for anyone who hasn't heard yet, there's still hope. when you have the envelope, whatever size, in your hand, that's when you either give up or go crazy.

here here NAgony. I like that perspective :)

I'll second lonefreckle's comment, You always have fantastic insight NAgony.
