Rejections are being sent out? Oh I'm really sad now. ExploreUSC - I hope you're just playing a game with me and that I actually did get in.

(this is like a break-up: )

"USC - what happened between us? Is it over - are you breaking up with me? Things started off so well, I went to your summer program... I got a 2120 for you...ALL FOR YOU! I was committed in this relationship, USC... I mean, I know NYU has been hitting on me, but I LOVE YOU!"

I just called (I think I really call too much, but I'm just so curious. I also manage to get a different person everytime) and the guy told me my file was complete and all letters would be out by the first week in April. Then I asked him if he could give me an idea of when I would know, and he said "soon". What does this mean? This whole thing is driving me nuts.

i dont think it means that u have been rejected. What USC tries to do is time when the letter reaches your house and on that day they let u access exploreUSC but if you cant access that means ur acceptance letter isnt goin to comes that day. Well just a though.

so i talked to my friend and she said that when she called the admissions office a few days before today, they told her that everything would be sent by april 1 (even though she was just rejected). others have told me that the admissions people are saying that they have been sent. when people are calling, are you giving them your name so they can specify the message to you or are they just giving a generic answer?

i think Westside was trying to find out where your friend lives, maybe, to "time" the rejection letter transmittal. Or maybe not. But i would love to know where/when did the dreaded letter arrive?

i guess what i really wanted to understand is how noone else has heard back about rejections only ur friend. Did she actually recieve a rejection letter in the mail?

she recieved a letter in the mail.
i think we should all stop trying to figure out this admission process (or at least I should lol). Colleges are wacky and aren't going to give us any straight answers. People are finding out things all over the place and it doesnt seem much to do with region right now because letters are slowly tricking out. Also, of all the people who applied, only a very small portion go on to this board, so whatever we are saying isnt really an accurate representation of the general applicant population.
