<p>I second what sarahjhansen said, USC accepts more students than they have spots available with a "yield" rate in mind.</p>

<p>Yes, most schools do in fact do this, but some have a "waitlist"... I'm not sure if USC has one.</p>
<p>Most schools do have a waitlist; however, few students will be accepted off the waitlist because the yield from previous years is taken into consideration when accepting students so there will be few to no spots remaining after deposits are sent in by May 1. Everyone should hear back by April 1, with either an acceptance, rejection, or waitlist.</p>
<p>so who knows if USC wait lists, or straigh tup rejects and takes appeals.</p>

it sounds like you need to have "changed circumstances" for an appeal to work. if you believe your circumstances have changed substantially since you sent in your app, maybe you should contact your regional USC admissions representative by telephone-and not wait-and maybe negate the need for a follow up letter :-)</p>

<p>i called them last week to ask when admissions were comming out and they were like "all letters are being sent out on march 20th" notice how the rep didnt say rejections and acceptances or both or just acceptance.
hahah imagine if they only sent rejections. everyone would pray their mailbox is empty lmao. talk about changing the tide.</p>
<p>well, if it's bad i guess i'd rather know so i can go on (somehow, sob) but i've kinda found a comfort zone with my little bit of hope.<br>

<p>dont sob, prepare with a appeal letter ;). my "new evidence" is that i became a ebay power seller, and i moved up from VP to president of the largest club on campus with over 400 members.</p>
<p>so how good are my new pieces of persuasion? im a business major and being a ebay power seller is not a simple task for a child or adult. and the president thing is just cool</p>
<p>Those may be helpful, but if I were you, I'd wait for the letter first. Hopefully, you won't have to be creative in an appeal letter :).</p>

<p>i only sent off a couple. two state safety colleges (accepted) and my reach, USC. i can't see paying bucks to go anywhere but USC. so if i don't get in, i'll try for a transfer. they're not gonna get rid of me that easily!!! oh, and maybe i'll get mKap to help me write an appeal :-)</p>

<p>this wait has been way too cruel. :( I know in previous years they sent out acceptances all the way until really late March, so hopefully there's still hope. it seems as though the very last wave before was spring admits and rejection letters. (yeah, I was loser enough to go back to old CC forums and try to search for USC... that's dedication.) good luck everyone!!</p>
