we are still waiting for a decision too- they are recalculating the GPA How long can that take??? Her app was in in August and the transcript arrived on 9/20 but the status didnt change for another week- I am getting annoyed too- Got into FAU immediatley but she does not want to go there

well they didnt start reviewing apps until the first of september so there is still hope

Yeah just updated on my UCF, I told myself I wouldn’t check this weekend cause I didn’t think they worked weekends. But I gave in and it was updated

Finally, updated that transcripts were received! I can’t believe it, on a Sunday!
After 5 weeks…now we wait…

@as21608 lol yeah i tell myself that i’ll just check it a week later, but ever since i’ve applied, i’ve literally checked it every single day… lol about to check it again :D

aw mine is still same… :/

haha we will all prolly know by the end of october. Hopefully i know before the 22nd

hahah its literally impossible to stick to what you tell yourself to do :P

End of october? Heck, I want to find out within this next week…

How long has your file been complete Write?

Since September 2nd, maybe a couple days later then that. That’s when they got my transcripts. My application and test scores were there by early august.

Yea. I am annoyed because some students seem to get in ASAP with higher stats. We are all on edges should all get in for summer. Ksizzle got-in for summer w 24 and 3.7 I dont understand how it can take so long once thry hsve transcript. We just checked. Nothing new. It’s an obsession

Gailbeth, I don’t think that you can compare one applicant to another. If I recall correctly, your d is OOS. I’m sure that you know that in Florida there is priority given to Florida residents. They don’t only look at scores and gpa but leadership, currics, strength of schedule taken, senior year classes, strength of high school, etc. My d applied Sept 21 and file showed being complete on Sept 26. We are still waiting. She had a friend apply Sept 20 and get accepted Sept 23. He hadn’t even sent his transcripts yet! That will happen when you have a 1420 SAT and a super high gpa, LOL! I told her to be patient. She is also applying OOS and I know that she may not get the same priority as those in states students will get. It’s only fair as there are only so many freshman spots available and the state has a responsiblity to their own kids. Also, just because they’re rolling doesn’t mean you will know right away. UCF is very kind when it comes to flat out rejecting you. They strung my son along a few years ago by asking for senior grades, etc. and did not give him an answer until 2 weeks before classes started. He had obviously made another choice by then. Just be patient. It hasn’t been that long yet. Just my 2 cents! Good luck!!!

It will be interesting to see how they look at my twin brother and I, helpful mom. Obviously you’re right-priority will go to Florida students, that much is clear. Of course, they’ll want a decent amount of out of students, for diversity, and for the out of state fees they’d be paying. My brother and I are nervous-two faternal twins, from Illinois, but considered in state because of the Florida ‘pre paid’ program we had when born in Florida. Sometimes it just irritates me, as a poster posted a thread about the topic earlier. UCF is accepting those All Star students, but by the time UF and FSU decisions come along, a good amount of them will drop UCF for those schools. I suppose we should consider that a good thing-us students with lower stats, but not right now. I wish there was a way admission could tell where else you’re applying. If they saw all these students applying to UF, then they would know a good many of them have no intention of attending UCF, verses me and other applicants on this site, who are ONLY applying to UCF. We would kill to be there, and we’d like that chance. I’m much rather rather have a school full of ‘average students’ who love UCF, and want nothing more to be there, then all star students who are only there because they didn’t make it into their other schools, and really didn’t even like UCF. I just hope the notice defered students soon-we need to know, so we can take the needed steps, such as test retakes.

Helpfulmom- Thanks I know My sonis there andwas accepted on 10/11 two years ago- it is just frustrating when you know that you should hopefuly get accepted!!

well for UCF even if 50% of those early acceptances are taken it helps boost their competitiveness. Also Florida schools recieve kickbacks from the state for keeping in state students here, explaining the priority. WRITE, even if they could see those students other apps they would just offer them more $$ to keep them at UCF. The whole thing is flawed but i just look at it this way. There are over 100,000 apps per year at ucf alone. As for test scores why not take it anyways? They use those scores for graduate programs occasionally.

My d just told me that a whole bunch of Facebook friends had accepted to UCF as their status this afternoon. She checked her acct but it’s still under review.

Ours still under review too We check all the time. Do you think calling is annoying to them?

how long have it been under review? i’ve called them alot too, and it felt like they were giving me an attitude… lol i dont think i’ll call them again until this friday.

How often do u call? When was her transcript in? My d was there on the 20 but it didnt post until 9/27.
