Still waiting? Has anyone heard anything since the break?

Sop520 I’ll be surprised if you don’t get in after that status.

I agree fall, up or bust. But I did check summer session. Stats?

My daughter knew she was a borderline applicant, so she applied specifically for summer session. She did not choose an alternate campus because she really would not consider doing two years at a satellite. She applied in early September and is still waiting.

GPA Unweighted: 3.4
SAT: 1840
8 AP Classes
Tons of ECs

3.67, 1990, 1 AP and several honors, very few ECS

At this point I’d say we both have a coin flip of a chance to get in

I haven’t heard back either and I applied in october

I aplied like mid october and got nothing so far soooo… same boat

Ianz join the club bro. If I don’t hear in the next week, then I’m done with PSU. Gotta worry about the other colleges

I just wish we didn’t have to wait until the last minute

Jwestbrook, it’s their loss if we don’t get in.

I thin it’s ridiculous that they’d even make people wait this long. But there have been people that have heard back on like the 29th - ridiculous but true. I feel like if they knew they didn’t want you, they would’ve just said so by now. By all your stats, you should all be getting in! Hoping the same for myself and wishing you all the best luck!

And @fballtennisguy I agree, their loss if we don’t get in.

The picture has not changed. It has been University Park since I applied. On my application I did not apply for the 2+2 option.

When we visited the campus during the summer, the director of admisssions stated that if we applied early, we would get a decision by December 15th.

The reason you guys haven’t heard yet isn’t because they don’t want you or that they’re waiting til the last second, they just haven’t gotten to your application yet. Penn State received a record amount of applications this year, and all things considered, hearing by Jan 31 at the latest is pretty reasonable compared to other schools; Virginia Tech, for example, doesn’t release their decisions until April 1st!

@Pens1394 Are you sure?

Based on what I have seen, I’m pretty sure that is the case, fballtennisguy. For example, I applied in September (they had all of my materials submitted by Sept 15) and I was accepted the Monday before Thanksgiving into Smeal. My stats aren’t phenomenal by any means- 3.93 GPA (weighted) and 1880 SAT- and some of you guys have stats very similar to mine, if not higher. Many students in my high school that are highly qualified haven’t heard back from PSU yet either. With so many applicants, they just haven’t gotten to all of them yet. You guys will be fine, just hang in there.

I submitted all my stuff a couple days before the deadline and I heard back in three weeks
SAT 2130
ACT 32
GPA unweighted 3.7…?
And my major was psychology

At least that makes me feel better then. Thanks

what do you guys think of these stats? im a transfer student so SAT isnt counted, but my gpa in college is 3.8 and ive had all a’s b’s in my classes…community service, not as much EC in college but a lot in high school because i had more time…
