<p>BlueHen89 : That’s odd! I applied approx Nov.28/29, and they only received my transcripts and sat scores in Dec., and I received the coming days status approx 4 days ago.</p>
<p>I think Blue Hen means her DD still says when one is made instead of in coming days. This is just crazy. Funny thing is I think she has moved past it and said her choices are CofC, JMU (accepted) or Udel (waiting) and not PSU even if she gets in. But I am not over it!</p>
<p>Oh wait, I was told that the coming days message IS the message that says “when one is made” is it not?? If so what IS this coming days message that I thought I had??</p>
<p>Does it say: “a decision will be available here as soon as one is made” or “a decision has been made and will be posted in the coming days”…that’s the difference.</p>
<p>Ohhhh, I wasn’t told that…oh gosh well I guess I have a reeeeaaal long time to wait since indeed the message I have is NOT the one that says a decision has been made…I’m just going to stop checking then, I’ll start looking again in February.</p>
<p>My daughter’s status finally changed from the original message to this: “Thank you for applying to Penn State. Your application has been received and is being reviewed. An admission decision will be posted here in the coming days”. I believe this is the only “coming days” status. I hope that it means something good, as it stayed on the original “being considered” message from mid-November until yesterday.</p>
<p>Dadager - you’re right, thats the final status. You should hear sometime early next week. Maybe tuesday?</p>
<p>Thanks kblitz, hopefully. Do you have any idea if it means anything in terms of the likely decision, or if it’s the standard line that always appears whether you’re accepted or denied?</p>
<p>It’s so strange with the coming days message. My daughter received hers on a Monday in December and she got her acceptance the next day online. Also for those who think they update during certain times, it seems to be right about midnight. It varies with no rhyme or reason. Good luck!</p>
<p>I can’t take the wait!!! Mine changed to a nittany lion, so i’m guessing i didn’t get into UP. But, my sats were 1620, gpa 3.76 unweighted, insane ec’s, good essay, i applied for summer and early action. i applied back in the 2nd week of september, i think sept. 19. Did anyone else get the nittany lion shrine pic and it says penn state university? on the pic caption? I just need to know my chances.</p>
<p>Dadager: look at the picture on the coming days status. If it stays a picture of University Park, that is usually a good sign. If it becomes a picture of the nittany lion it is usually an acceptance to an alternate campus or a rejection. But even if the picture is of UPark today, the picture could change tomorrow, so it is not a sure thing. The wording of the coming days status does not change for accepted students.</p>
