Glad you bumped this thread. I was just thinking last night that I’m doing fine with gifts, but need fun stocking stuffer ideas.
There was a kitchen thread or something recently that had some ideas that would work as stocking stuffers. People feel free to post on multiple threads.
I went to IKEA and picked up some kitchen stuff I could use. Even if you don’t find anything, you can get a lot of steps in! Here are a few things I picked up.
Lastly, I decided to try these for shoes (heels) I hardly wear. I was able to examine one out of the packaging. My only concerns: the Velcro would annoy me if I had to place shoes in and out frequently and reviews say stacking them 4 or 5 high can be an issue. I’m hoping I like them since I only intend to stack them 2 high and figure 4 for $10 is worth try.
I picked up some kitchen utensils for kid#3 at Target for her stocking. I’ve cooked in her kitchen so I knew what she needed.
Two cyber Monday stocking stuffer impulse buys to which I succumbed:
Prism glasses so you can read while lying in bed:

Dip clips for eating in the car:

A bottle of hot sauce for my son; some hand lotion/soap from L’Occitane En Provence for my daughter and also my wife.
Travel sewing kits can be very handy. I know i’ve used mine on each of my several recent trips because stuff happens. haha
Those prism glasses are new to me. (My low tech solution is pillow across my lap, book on top of pillow). Let us know how they work.
Picked up up some Swedish dishcloths for S and D (both cooks).
I pick up a lot of the same things every year - Bombas socks, bath bombs, lip balm, etc. I like practical things I know they will use.
I’m curious too! Didn’t get a pair for myself so I’ll have to report back after Christmas
Costco had Swedish dish cloths! I bought a pack of them yesterday for a friend. They were $8.99 for the pack and had 3 each of 4 different designs in the pack.
I used the $50 in Penzeys gift cards that I had previously purchased for $35 to get a bunch of spices for stocking stuffers for D1, D1’s fiance and D2.
I became a swedish dish cloth convert after having a couple at an AIRBNB during Covid (they came with instructions by the host that we should take them home with us, not leave them, cause covid)
This is the set I bought - I’m still using some from this set - they last many, many, many washes - actually don’t know if I’ve ever had one fall apart - but I have had mercy on ones that looked so used that I just used them for a last clean up job perhaps with something more toxic and just threw away. Easy to split this set up for gifts

I just ordered some Penney’s spices as stocking stuffers.
This handy mending kit is always useful. I’m still using mine many years after purchasing and don’t have to find a spool of matching thread for repairs when I can find a strand in this assortment. I bought Dritz brand but this appears quite similar and includes shipping. Its threads are considerably shorter than the Dritz brand, unfortunately, if you have bigger repairs.
Do you not sew, @HImom? I have tons of thread, some in a box I’ve had for 55 years when I first started sewing. It is cute to see 35 cents on the spools (thread now can cost $5 a spool) My sister doesn’t sew but she wouldn’t need this kit as she doesn’t sew. She learn long ago to take a shirt to the dry cleaners if it needed a button, or bring it to me. Her husband also can sew on a button, but he uses the kits from hotels.
Tried these with a group of friends. Might put a couple in each stocking…
I saw somebody using this over the summer. Swore it let her drink red wine without getting a headache.
I do see but for mending don’t always have thread that matches the color if the garment I’m mending. Having the braid with all the handy colors makes it easier to get a match.
