Stoked but overwhelmed. Advice?

Hey,

Looking forward to starting my life as an adult, any advice I'd love to hear. My life in a nutshell so you know where I'm coming from.

I'm a 16 year old in high school. I've lived in Norcal my whole life, but I want to go to college in Southern California because I love the weather down there and it seems like a more relaxed pace. For irrelevant reasons, I have an unfortunate cumulative GPA of approx. 3.2. However, it is my second semester of junior year and my GPA is 4.2. I am the vice president of my school's DECA chapter (business club) as well as the vice president of my school's stock market club. I have won numerous awards for DECA at local, state, and international competitions. I also won 4k in a national marketing contest for Coldstone Creamery. I worked as a sales associate for Footlocker for a year and now I currently tutoring 8th-11th grade students in algebra 1, 2, and geometry. I'm a natural entrepreneur and also extremely interested in psychology. Success to me is Forbes status wealth and having good relationships with people.

Because of my horrible cumulative GPA, I know my options are limited. I got a 1970 on a practice SAT I took a couple weeks ago and plan on taking SAT prep classes so that when I take the actual test in May, my scores will be exceptional. The GPA I have now could maybe bring my cumulative to a 3.4, but that's ideal!

Any conversation on Socal universities, what I should look for in a college, or advice in general is totally welcome. Any questions as well.

Thanks,
NM

Don’t worry too much! You are a natural and one day we may even see you listed on the Forbes 500 list. Keep working hard and go for it!!

Is that your weighted GPA? If not, what is?

Is that your GPA that includes everything, or is that your UC GPA? If you don’t know what your UC GPA is, you should find out what it is. For a UC GPA, freshman grades aren’t included, so that may help your GPA.

What do you think your cum GPA will be by the end of junior year?

There are many SoCal privates that will accept you.

Is money an issue.
