As someone who lives in NY, I’d say you’re definitely safe for a NYer, but I’m not sure if admission is harder or easier from OOS. What’s your rank btw? Your GPA sounds a bit low but your SAT is definitely high enough.

CSMath, when did OP say anything about BC, which doesn’t even offer ED?

^My school doesn’t rank at all. There is no Val or Sal either.

Are you taking a lot of APs? Do you at least have an idea of where you rank? My school doesn’t rank either except for Val and Sal, but my GC gave me my percentile and I know they send a paper saying something along the lines of which GPAs = which percentiles.

I have taken 2 APs and 9 honors classes. My GC said I was in the top 25%, but not my actual rank

Bump…

I also have a huge upward trend

Oh and I am a legacy (dad went there).

I think you have a very great chance, but I’m not sure if it’s a safety if you’re only in the top 25%. Is there any way your GC can be more specific? The top 10% is also in the top 25%. I think it’s still reasonably safe, but I would apply to another safety just in case. Even if you get into both, that’s just another option you have come May 1 :).

P.S. You won’t get a ton of replies if you’re asking about SUNY schools (or most schools outside the top 50 for that matter) on CC.

Thanks! I will try to contact my GC to get a more exact ranking.

And I have two other safeties Drexel and Rutgers - New Brunswick
