OT is grad-only these days; transitioned out of the combined degree program a few years ago: https://healthtechnology.stonybrookmedicine.edu/programs/otp/admissions/requirements
That said, yes, Health Science makes the most sense as an undergrad.
Chris
I just received my acceptance today! I got an email that my admissions status changed and found my acceptance on solar.
no news for me. several classmates applied rd and thru common app and already heard back. not me.
Anyone who is accepted, can you post your stats? My chances of getting accepted arenât looking good but Iâm considering applying as a transfer next year.
Does it matter which major we applied to? I submitted my common app earlier than my friend but she got an acceptance to Stony last week while I didnâtâŠ
Yea some majors itâs hard to get into. For stony, computer science is extremely hard to get into
I heard it does not go by your major chosen. SBUâs requirements are same for every major. I am majoring in Business and still have not heard back. My friends who went for Marine Science heard back.
Applied January 4, accepted January 22 (general/undeclared.
1390 SAT (new), 3.123 UW/3.257 W (3.8 UW junior year and 4.0 UW senior year)
Live in West Virginia
I applied on 10/4 and still havenât heard anything. Yet, a lot of my friends applied in December as RD and heard back.
Just checked to find my SOLAR portal changed to include links for Campus housing and pay initial deposit, etc. Does this mean Iâm in? (Even though application says itâs still processing)
I think that does mean you got accepted. Check your email. That is how my friends found out.
Congratulations.
Well thanks! And no, I didnât get any mail. Did you get any?
No I didnt get ANYTHING. Still waiting.
Your portal status will most likely change before you get an email, at least thatâs what happened to my daughterâs. It took a day or so to get the status updated after the links appeared so sit tight.
Do you mind sharing your stats and when you applied?
Oh, and here are mine! I applied in 2nd week of January.
SAT- 1380
GPA- ~90%
A decent amount of extracurriculars and volunteer work.
Rec letters- Probably good.
Fyi i heard if you havent heard back then it could mean SB is waiting for MID year grades. That is what my Guidance counselor said could be the case for me. I am sooo nervous. This is so exhausting. Fingers still crossed. Lol
@âstonybrook hopefulâ Keep up the hope!
Aww thanks!!! Good luck to you and everyone else who was accepted.
Has anyone received any information on merit scholarships? Just saw my acceptance in the portal but Iâm out of state and hoping for a lot of aid
