**Stony Brook University Class of 2022 Decisions**

Oh and one more thing, has anyone received a decision on a weekend or is it strictly week days? Thank you

I applied on Jan 12ā€¦ Approx when will i get the decision?
Also with following stats am i likely to get acceptance
SAT 1450
Weighted GPA 4.2
International Student
Computer Science

When you applied:1/1
When you receive the result:1/17
In-State, OOS, or International: In State
GPA:90
STA/ACT:1320
Admitted major:economics
Honor/Scholar: ???
AP/IB:3 ap classes

Still waiting for my decision. Applied in late December. I really wanna know sooner or later lol.

GPA: A steady 94 (approximately) throughout my four years.
ACT: 27, with college readiness in every section, including STEM and ELA (29E, 28M, 24R, 27S)
Extracurriculars: School basketball team (9th-12th), National Honor Society (12th; in my school you have to be in 11th to apply and NHS membership is during senior year)
My personal statement (essay) focuses on exceptional circumstances.

I am applying as an applied math and statistics major and have taken 4 years of both math and science through physics and calculus 1 (my school requires 3 of each). I have also taken 4 required years of English and Social Studies. No AP or honors courses other than honors calculus, but only because my school has fairly stringent requirements for these courses; you need to have a certain average in a class AND be recommended by your teacher.

What are my chances?

just got the new students tabā€¦ lets see how much time after this it posts the decision

my program in SOLAR says : AOI in Pre Computer Science
what does that mean
does AOI mean I will have to study an extra semester?
Will undergrad take longer than 4yrs in that case?

AOI means area of interest. You need to pass the prerequisite CS related courses like CSE114 and CSE215 with reasonable good GPA first, now minimum 3.2 on 4.0 scale, then SBU will let you major in CS. If you failed, you will be out. Nothing to do with more than 4 years. So just well prepare the basics of CS and work hard for these prerequisite courses.

@conswella Congrats!!! Did your portal change before you got accepted?

@dad1023 I also donā€™t have any other tabs besides the Favorites and Main Menu

@dad1023 I didnā€™t get any notification by e-mail. I randomly checked my application status on 2/1 and it said i was accepted.

I applied January 14 but Stony Brook didnā€™t receive my SAT scores until January 30. Do you guys think this is going to affect my decision?

@nerdalert18 I applied 1/14 as well and they didnā€™t get my scores until January 20 something and I already got in

How are they distributing applications? It seems to me itā€™s neither on a rolling basis or in batches as some people claim. I submitted my application 1/1 and recently sent my mid-year scores, but Iā€™m still awaiting a response. On the other hand, other people have submitted it later than me and have received their acceptances already. Does anybody know whatā€™s going on?

@Killerbeat148 Iā€™m honestly not sure, but from the people who I know that got in in the last few weeks, they were mostly majoring in some sort of engineering. My school college counselor said that admissions decisions to SBU are randomized, but there is probably an underlying system that we just donā€™t know about.
