Son applied CS on Nov 5th. Still nothing. Expecting a rejection at this point. Would have been nice to have this info 3 months ago.

I called the admission counselor yet again last week specifically asking if they will only be sending mostly wait lists and rejections for comp sci at this point-she said no. But who knows…
Did u get into AOI at least? Do you mind sharing your stats?
I emailed my admission officer in January. She specifically said almost all acceptances will be sent by the end of February or early March.
Hey guys, does anyone know whether decisions are released by major. Do less popular majors get decisions or acceptances later on?

I have a 3.7/4 GPA, 1500 SAT, 8 APs.
I’m on several teams. I assume my extracurriculars are very good.
I got into universities with half the acceptance rate of Stony, no idea what happened here.
If you do not get in directly to comp sci, they may offer you aoi=area of interest in comp sci. Look it up

It’s all just luck.
I guess its just because you are overly qualified. They know that someone with your stats most likely wont enroll at Stony since you can get in somewhere much better.

I don’t think so. I have two friends with higher stats, one was accepted and one wasn’t.
Maybe it’s luck. Maybe it’s something else. I don’t know.

I was about to ask the same because they said decisions would come out in Mid-March.

Thank you for your email, and congratulations! We are not able to estimate decisions of the Honors Committee, but yes, all students will receive a notification if they were invited or if they are not invited to honors programs.
Honors College, WISE, University Scholars will notify qualified applicants of their offer typically in mid to late March.
Scholars for Medicine and Scholars for Dental Medicine will contact qualified applicants directly with a request for an interview and then notified of their Scholars for Medicine or Scholars for Dental Medicine decision in April.
Note: Students are reviewed for general admission first. Honors consideration does not affect a general admissions decision. Students would have needed to select honors consideration and have submitted all additional honors materials to be considered.
