Stony Brook University Law

Hey i just wanted to know if anyone here knows anything about SBU's undergrad law program. I know SBU is renowned for its sciences but is it good for law aswell? is it a respectable university for pre-law? Or should i just go to Hofstra. I plan on going to a top 50 law school.
Thank You

There really is no such thing as a undergrad law major. There are pre-law programs and just about any undergrad degree will do. Many consider Poly Sci to be an ideal pre law major, but I have seen bio, chem, and French majors get into law school. The key is good grades and do well on the LSATs to get into the best law school you can.

FWIW it will not matter if you went to SUNY-Stony Brook or Hofstra: great grades and LSATs will get you into a top law school, only good grades and LSATs will get you into a lower tiered law school [and harder job placement], poor grades and LSATs will get you nowhere, regardless of the undergraduate school. if you want to be a science major, Stony Brook would be a better choice.
