I got accepted to Binghamtons School of Management for business admin and Stony Brook’s College of Business for Business Management. Stony Brook offered me some great scholarships while I still have to hear back from Binghamton. Which school is better for business? Stony Brook is a lot closer to home which is a big plus for me but I’m not sure which school I should go to.
Big Data + AI Era, my choice is SBU.
@altoqueen Binghamton does not offer merit aid to in-state applicants–however, if you are invited to the Scholars program–invites are reserved for the tippy top of the admitted applicants, you might get a $2,000 to $3,000 stipend which you can use towards study abroad or research. Personally, I think Binghamton for any business major is better than Stony Brook. Stony Brook is known more for STEM than for business, but if the cost and fit make you feel more comfortable going to Stony Brook, then go there–because recognize that it is you–the student-- who will create the most opportunity for securing internships and jobs–it’s how you do academically gpa-wise and what you do extra-curricular-wise, as well as your initiative in seeking out internships and jobs that will make you successful, not necessarily the business school you go to.
