Stony Brook? Where art thou?

Sorry I misunderstood. They aren’t math applicants, but I had a friend who had gotten accepted pretty early last year for applied mathematics that had basically the same math grades as I. I know that was last year but besides the one person, I don’t know anyone else that applied for an applied mathematics major

FPOTUS My D is still waiting too! Already got into Bing, Uconn honors and all others, Stony is the last one and her only close to home school. She’s nervous about going away too. We ck Solar everyday, sometimes 5 times a day. We wish u best of luck. On other threads from past years, seems like Stony can go to the wire.

Still Waiting and I’m checking SOLAR 5 times a day. 3.7 GPA and 34 ACT for Computer Science and people with lower creds have gotten in from my school. I am becoming increasingly worried as it is my #1 school.

Are people still getting accepted?

Ok so I read on “Solar Tab” discussion that the solar tabs changes and the financial aid tab disappears prior to acceptance email. Obviously, these r observations not a rule of thumb but who knows. Also I read someone heard back (same discussion) on the week end. I hadn’t realized that before. Some older threads noted acceptances with end of march dates. So I guess its not over yet? Good luck all. My D is Still waiting…

There’s still plenty of time for news to get out before April 1st. There’s nothing sad, unfair or wrong about many of us still waiting. Colleges like SB get plenty of applications and it’s a huge job to go through all of them.
For those of you who want to appreciate the daunting task admissions people go through, read “The Gatekeepers” by Jacques Steenbergen.
Good luck all!

still waiting too…

I checked my portal, and it now says, “Thank you for choosing Stony Brook University. We look forward to you joining the University community.” I also received an emailing telling me to sign up for Admitted Students Day. I’m assuming that I got in, but I still haven’t received the official acceptance email.

Sad to hear
