I know its long. but what do you guys think? UPenn has around a 30% ED acc. rate....what about me?

I’d say a very low chance. You’re AP scores don’t seem impressive and you didn’t take Math Level II and I think most Ivies like to see that. Your SAT score also seems a little low. Maybe you’ll break 2200 and that will raise your chances.

I’m gonna disagree, I think you stand a good chance given your apparent amazing ecs, essays and recs. They’re looking for people not numbers as long as your numbers show you can do the work which your SATs do although im not sure about your grades

thanks for ur responses!
but bjorika why do you say “very low” chances? Im doing ED to CAS not wharton…if not good chances i thought id have a fair shot at upenn. How much do you think breaking 200 will raise my chances by?

I agree, chances are rather low. This is because of GPA/rank (barely breaking top 10% … Penn’s avg is top 3%) and average SAT score … the higher your score the better, of course, but I think your chances overall are below avg w/ sub-2300s. SAT II and AP scores are low … ECs aren’t very outstanding (although I like your research work) … You didn’t elaborate on your awards so it’s hard to say about that … but in general, GPA is the most important factor in admissions, followed by SAT I/II scores, and those are avg/below avg … Still, if Penn is your goal, go for it! This coming from a current quaker ^.^

Basically what withonevoice said.

It doesn’t matter if you’re applying to CAS or Wharton, you just need to get those SATs and your GPA up.

thanks guys…dissapointed but atleast i can have a realisitic view of my chances…

im taking math II, lit & us hist. again in nov. if all happen to be 750+ any SIGNIFICANT change in my chances of getting in…?

thanks for all your inputs!

Everything seems to be in place EXCEPT your GPA, which ARE the most important aspects of your application. Your SAT IIs are not terrible, they are probably within the 50% range at UPenn same with your regular SAT, but 3.67 GPA is low.

I’d say if you did ED to Upenn, you would have a 20% chance of getting in, not wonderfully high, but not terrible low either.

Return the favor?
