<p>Northstarmom - I think you are focusing too much on "ranking" -- there are a lot of excellent colleges that are not quite as selective as Pomona that would still tolerate a C in calculus. A kid who gets one poor grade in senior year really does not deserve to be relegated to junior college status. </p>
<p>I also think you are mistaken as to school policies -- my guess is that the standards for which admissions are revoked are probably extremely variable, and often decided on a case-by-case basis.</p>
