<p>I never said they were absolute indicators of academic success; in fact, I'd rather say that they're indicators of the LOWEST academic factors.</p>
<p>I just find it HARD to believe that a renowned writer finds it difficult to write a 3 paragraph blurb about an open topic (this is all that's needed to get that coveted "average score" even), that calc students find it difficult to apply the Pythagorean Theorem, and that Shakespeare readers find it difficult to supply the most basic interpretations of elementary passages (and happy, CR is multiple choice).</p>
