Strange 9th grade issue

I finished 9th grade at middle school, rather than at high school. My older high school is a 3 year HS, rather than a 4 year one. I know I’ve said twice that I’m a transferred and “international” student. Things are different there, including the school curriculum. I find this “issue” frustrating and not sure if my 9th grade “reports” matter or not. The problem is that those reports are part of my middle school transcript (6th-9th grade). I’m at a different high school since I got transferred and moved (which is a 4 year one). Since that most high schools are 4 years, will my 9th grade reports/records matter or not (even if I was transferred)?

Go speak to your gc They’re the only one who will know the 100% true answer.

You can ask to see a copy of your transcript from your guidance counselor. See how they will be submitting it to colleges.

If you think it’d be helpful, you could ask your JH/9th grade counselor what their policies are/if they even still have your transcript and how to get it transferred. Colleges do pay attention to freshmen year (most of the time) so it’d be best to get that checked out.

While valid, neither addresses the OP’s question, which is:

If a college says they want grades from 9-12, then they want grades from 9-12, regardless of how many times you’ve transferrered. Hopefully, your 9th grade grades are on your new HS’s transcript, but if they are not, either you or the GC needs to get them from the old school.
