Hi everyone! I am a Class of 2015 parent and a lurker, not intentional, whenever I have a question it seems I can easily find it via the information and wisdom you all kindly share. However, we now have a situation that has us scratching our heads.

My daughter has been invited by one of the colleges that she has applied to attend an admitted students reception (actually my husband and I are invited as well) that will be hosted by local alumni (the college is out of state). This is very nice, BUT D has yet to receive an acceptance package from this school.

This is a college she has visited and is quite fond of, and we are pretty organized with our application and acceptance paperwork. So we have had our eyes open for this acceptance, but so far nothing. The reception isn't for a few weeks and we do have some time to wait it out before RSVPing. Should we just wait a few days and see if the package got held up in the mail? At one point might it be appropriate for D to contact the admissions office?
