Strangest/funniest/most difficult interview questions/stories?

I had an interviewer last year who told me a story about how his friend stole his kimchi, and how angry he got over that.
The wierdest question was probably
"if you could be any animal, what would you be?"
Anyone else?

an interviewer was pouring some coffee and asked if I wanted any. Not too strange but I was pretty wired for the tour afterwards.

I drank three cups for breakfast, and around three more because I knew my tour guide really well and she told me that we would chill and the tour would be informal. I wouldn't have done that with any old joe. I know what you mean, my dad even said, "Did they give you speed?".

I gotta say... The weirdest question would easily be:
Interviewer, "Your grandfather... He was Italian?"
IB(Me), "Yes, born near naples."
Interviewer, "He had a small restaurant right?"
IB, "Five, two in Jersey, two in New York and one in Scottsdale"
Interviewer, "Hypothetically, if I was at one of the restaurants back when they were open... What should I order at an Italian place?"

I was really caught offguard... I was very nervous.

I think my strangest interview moment was
Interviewer: Hi my name is john smith
an INCREDIBLY NERVOUS and Flustered me: Oooh like Pocahontas!

HAHAHAHAH
dazzlezzz, i think you're my new hero :]

"Oooh like Pocahontas!"

omg.
that was funny.!

"Oooh like Pocahontas!"

omg.
that was funny.!

Could everyone say which school they were at when they got those questions?

funny!

interview for exeter:

what are three words that describe you? (i was very nervous, so i said the cliches i.e. nice, committed, caring) wow it was so stupid. i looked like a dumb ass! lol

when do you feel proudest about yourself? (hmmm then i said something about an accomplishment in math, my hardest subject)

I said outgoing, competitive and funny.

And she asked me to tell her a joke. I did a generic political joke and got a little chuckle.

Proudest question I said math also. I'm taking some higher up classes and I have high 90s in them. That was the last question because I just talked about being passionate about it and how practical it was... I like math cause it is practical.

italian boarder,

im advanced in math too, but i truly suck at it. i only get high 90's because i try hard, but im not a natural math whiz. plus it makes me sleep

before i go to another exeter interview, i'll look up a list of adjectives and pick the best that describe me and memorize them, just in case. i'll try to pick out some big words so i'll look like an intellectual being :)

Lol, make sure you know the pronunciation. Or else you will just sound like an idiot trying to use big words lol

mpicz, definitely. lol!

i read somewhere that someone got asked "if they could be any type of fruit, what would they be and why".

I was talking about my dream university at two different schools and they were both like oh how can you not be happy there?

I WAS LIKE WOAHHHH DEJAVU (:

but other than that my questions were relevant to the all-powerful topic of ... ME lol

"Oooh like Pocahontas!"

If it makes you feel better, I thought the same thing and I wasn't nervous, then again, we just went over that (for the 5 billionth time) in US History.

At Kent, the first question out of the guys mouth was, "If you were a superhero, what superpower would you have?" I was like "umm....teleportation."

And at Loomis, the next day, the interviewer was coughing up a storm. I asked him if he wanted a mint to suck on to help his throat. He said no. Thank god! I noticed later that they were these mints that I was given at Kent the day before. They said "KENT SCHOOL" in big letters. lmao

^ I remember that story. lol

I've yet to have my interviews, but I'm in Academic Decathalon, where we have an interview. Our coach has given us some pretty twisted questions. "If you were a salt water fish which one would you be?" "What do you think of the word I just made up, 'Splurbie'?" "If I gave you $200 to give to Josh (Member of the team) that he DESERVED what would it be?"

It can be interesting.

I remember that story, too. I feel old. :)
