Stressed out over choosing a major (I know it's a lot to read but PLEASE HELP)

Hello, I am currently an undergad student in a California community college.

Here is some background on myself and my interest:
I am interested in business
I enjoy working in teams and on group projects
I enjoy being creative
I enjoy reading up on statistics and learning interesting facts lol
I always wanted to work in the Hospitality industry (Hotel,Restaurant,Casion,Cruise,etc...)
I am NOT good at math, but I am willing to deal with it anyways.
I DO NOT want to major in any of the Arts or Social Sciences... NO English,Journalism,Communication,Psychology, History, Music, Poetry etc...
I want to get a Masters degree.

Okay my original plan was to transfer to Cal Poly Pomona's Collins College of Hospitality and be a Hospitality Management major. Cal Poly has the only graduate school for Hospitality in California, so I was planning on going there. HOWEVER, I am learning that Hospitality may not be a wise major to choose, because I hear that it is limiting and I'll probably be working front desk at a motel 6 with a bit over minimum wage. (Yes someone told me that)... That crushed my dreams and discouraged me, because Hospitality has been my passion, but I am willing to broaden my horizons to other Business majors.

Please DO NOT recommend majoring in Finace or Accounting. I know those majors tend to be the most respected, but I can tell you first hand, that I am NOT good at math, and those majors are NOT for me. I know those a fantastic options, but not for me. I am in remedial math at the moment (embarrasing), but I am willing to face my math fears, and take a few intense math courses here and there... I just don't want a major ENTIRELY based off of it. I don't wish to escape it, I just don't want to breathe it.

Okay, so I was looking at Business-Marketing. Marketing is very interesting to me, and I know I would enjoy this major, because I am intrigued by it. Marketing has always been a second option after Hospitality Management.

OKAY PLEASE HELP ME! Give me advice... Should I stick with Hospitality Management and not be discouraged? Is Marketing a better option? What do you think? (Don't base answers off of money lol, I don't expect to graduate college and automatically be in a CEO position... I know I have to start off low) It is basically in between Marketing and Hospitality Management for me, but if you feel like another major will fit me, based on how I described myself, then PLEASE shoot it to me :)... Thanks so much!

In your case, since you don’t like math, double major in Marketing and Hospitality Management. I don’t think you would start working at a front desk…unless it is some super fancy hotel. Neither are the best option for jobs afterwards but neither are the worst either.

I second Tom’s idea. Marketing sounds perfect for you, and you still don’t have to give up your dream.

I third: Marketing might sound good and it may open a few interesting doors for you that you wouldn’t have thought of or tried for otherwise.

I will mention, however, that Accounting from what I gather (and an actual accounting major can verify for us) does not involve advanced levels of math. It’s typically basic math usage, but other problems within accounting involve using math-like problem solving skills. Accounting is known as the most versatile business degree.

One of my co-workers got their undergrad in Marketing and found job prospects to be really bad (Bay Area CA) so they went to another college’s summer Accounting program (All day Mon-Sat to get all the credits) and landed a really good accounting/tax related job right after. Maybe you can do the Marketing thing and keep one of those programs in mind just in case?
