Hey guys, I was wondering what my ED chances would be for Vandy? It's definitely a stretch school and my grades aren't like the rest of the people who post on here, but I make up for it in school spirit/leadership. Here's my credentials:

3.59 GPA (Take mostly all honors classes)
1960 SATs

Clubs/Activities:
4 year varsity golf (2 time captain, received coach's award in sophomore year for leadership qualities.)
2 years basketball (played freshman and sophomore year - received MVP award, JV team)
1 year varsity winter track.
Freshman Mentor Club (Aids freshman with easing into social/academic life of high school.)
Leader of student fan section (Organize chants and t-shirts)
Organized a wiffleball tournament for a teacher whose wife had tragically died. The tournament's proceeds went to his children's college fund, whom the teacher now has to support by himself.
Competed in my school's version of a male "beauty pageant", where I was hand selected to showcase my whit, charisma, and talents.

Recs are VERY solid, one from my spanish teacher, one from my history teacher, and one from the vice principal. My spanish teacher who wrote my rec personally called my admissions officer for Vandy to hype me up. I have been in constant contact with my admissions officer.

I also did the alumni interview program and the interviewer said that I was a perfect candidate for Vandy and that she would strongly recommend me to the admissions office.

Last but not least, and not to brag, but my common app essay was pretty sweet, and everyone who read it (including my teachers at school) really enjoyed it. It was about the different types of handshakes people give: the overachiever, the dead fish, and of course the perfect shake. PLEASE get back to me and give me your honest opinion, thanks!
